George is the Conservative Borough Councillor for the Heath ward.
George attended Picknalls First School, Oldfields Hall Middle School and then Thomas Alleynes High School in Uttoxeter before moving onto Stafford College to gain an NVQ in Construction Plant Engineering. Following that he studied Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
George is currently a HGV driver. Before that he served for nearly five years in the armed forces as a soldier in the Household Cavalry regularly taking part in all major ceremonial duties including Trooping of the colour, State Opening of Parliament and guard duties at Buckingham Palace during investitures.
George has lived in Uttoxeter all his life and recently bought a house on the edge of the town, where he lives with his wife Juliet and their Chihuahua Polo.
This will be George’s first step in his political career.
George has held a number of positions of responsibility and has valuable experience he can bring to the role of Borough Councillor. He is the Events and Membership Officer of Uttoxeter Conservatives.
He is the youngest conservative borough candidate and will bring little vitality to the chamber if elected.
George believes that the town has a unique opportunity to build on its past success by encouraging businesses to invest and grow in the area. “There are many opportunities for the town to regenerate and prosper. I want to work with local people and businesses to ensure we take them. In turn this will generate additional funds to improve public services.
George enjoys keeping fit and is an avid runner. Occasionally he likes to visit the Brecon Beacons, Peak district or the Highlands in Scotland.
He takes a keen interest in economics, development of sustainable resources and the protection of the environment that we live in.
At the end of his military career George’s service was classed as “Exemplary” in his final report. He holds positions of trust and responsibility, is well organised and thorough.
