About Andrew

Andrew is committed and energetic, with a wealth of political and business experience to bring to Burton and Uttoxeter.

Andrew Griffiths is 37, and lives just outside Uttoxeter. Born in Staffordshire, he is Chief of Staff to the Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles MP.

Having previously worked for Theresa May MP, and the former Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Hugo Swire MP, Andrew has been involved at the highest level of politics for many years.

Andrew fought the European Elections in 2004 here in Burton and Uttoxeter as a candidate for the West Midlands. He previously fought the seat of Dudley North in the 2001 General Election. 

Andrew has a passion for farming, and was the Conservative Party’s advisor on farming matters in Brussels, and worked on the European Inquiry into foot and mouth.

Before entering politics, he worked for the family run Engineering business in the West Midlands before becoming a Manager with a High Street Banking and Property group.
