Power Station Plans DefeatedThere are plans to build a 960 Megawatt gas power station on the Centrum 100 site in Branston. We believe that building the power plant at this location would be bad for the environment, bad for the local residents and bad for Burton.

Conservative Win in Burton & Uttoxeter
Andrew Griffiths has been successful in the General Election being elected as the new MP for Burton & Uttoxeter. Andrew held out to get over 22,000 votes, beating Labour who secured only 15,884 votes.
East Staffordshire Conservatives are inviting local people to come forward as candidates for the 2011 East Staffordshire Borough Council elections.
